Story Synopsis:
After serving time in Sing-Sing prison for drug dealing and petty theft in the 1970
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD offers a stylized picture with both color and black-and-white scenes. Images are generally sharp, but details appear smeared and wanting in definition. Some scenes have a gritty appearance, with quite a bit of noticeable film grain, while other scenes appear smooth, but undefined. Colors are rich and warm, with lots of brown hues and deep blacks. Edge enhancement can be extremely distracting, and pixelization is often noticed. Though a lot of what makes the picture look mediocre is related to the source element, the picture is generally unimpressive overall. (Suzanne Hodges)
