DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD exhibits images that have a slightly dated character, but are otherwise quite pleasing. Images are generally soft, but appear to be nicely detailed at times. Contrast seems slightly low in scome scenes. Minor smearing and blurring of details suggests heavy use of noise reduction. The picture is quite clean, with a few scratches and artifacts noticed. Minor edge enhancement and occasional pixelization are detected, but the picture nicely serves the storytelling. (Suzanne Hodges)
Soundtrack:
The Dolby Digital 2.0 soundtrack is big fat mono. When Pro Logic-decoded, the audio is properly placed in the center channel. Distortion is prevalent throughout, but background noise is impressively low. Overall volume level seems a bit high. (Perry Sun)
