Story Synopsis:
Based on the play by Ann Jellicoe, "The Knack...And How To Get It" is a sharp witted, fast-moving comedy about Tollen (Brooks), a man who is popular with the ladies and his buddy, Colin (Crawford) who wants to learn the secret. Desperate to become more like his motorcycle-riding, womanizing friend, the pathetically desperate and clumsy Colin
DVD Picture:
The black-and-white windowboxed/pillarboxed 1.66:1 DVD picture is not anamorphically enhanced. Images are generally soft, with limited detail and definition. At times, the picture can appear downright smeared, and even a bit jumpy. The gray scale is nicely rendered with deep blacks and bright whites. Unfortunately, aliasing problems, pixelization, and especially edge enhancement can all be negative factors with this picture. Source element artifacts and grain are minimal. Good luck reading the end credits, even if you have a larger home theatre display. (Suzanne Hodges)
