    Story Synopsis:
    "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" (the highest grossing independent film to date) was written by its star Nia Vardalos, and was adapted from her off-Broadway show. Life is not very easy for the frumpy Toula Portokalos (Vardalos), a single, Greek-American woman in her thirties. Her mother (Kazan) and father (Constantine) are extremely distressed that Toula is not married to a Greek man, making Greek babies, and nourishing her Greek family with Greek food. One day, Toula decides to make a change for the better by trading her glasses for contacts, applying a bit of make-up, and dressing up. And when she finally lands a date with the seemingly perfect schoolteacher Ian Miller (Corbett), she must deal with one more family upset: he's not Greek, and he's a vegetarian. (Suzanne Hodges)

    The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD exhibits a very nicely rendered picture, with images that are sharp and detailed, with pleasing clarity and depth. Colors are rich and well balanced, with accurate fleshtones, and deep blacks. Overall, the picture has a natural, easy-on-the-eyes appearance. There are very rare instances in which edge enhancement is noticed, and pixelization only occasionally creates an undesireable
