DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD exhibits a stylized picture, that often has a desaturated, highly contrasted appearance. Colors are well balanced, with accurate fleshtones and deep blacks. The picture has a crisp, cold feel, with lots of stark whites and gray exteriors. Images are quite sharp and detailed, with nicely rendered definition and clarity. There is some minor edge enhancement noticed, and pixelization occasionally breaks apart finer details. Fine film grain inherent in the source element adds a gritty texture to the picture.
