Story Synopsis:
"Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever" finds two former government agents in a white-knuckle battle to see who can get their hands on a remarkable weapon
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD picture is dim by nature, with much of the story taking place at night. Contrast is well balanced and visual information in the darker scenes is very nicely rendered. Images are quite sharp and detailed, with satisfying definition and clarity. The stylish picture offers well-balanced colors, with accurate fleshtones and deep blacks. At times, the color scheme can appear slightly desaturated for visual intrigue. There is some edge enhancement noticed in the higher contrast scenes, but otherwise goes unnoticed. Occasionally, pixelization causes visual break up of finer details. (Suzanne Hodges)
