DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD exhibits a sharp and detailed picture, with well balanced contrast and shadow delineation. Hues are nicely balanced throughout the color scheme. No blatant filmmaking stylizations here, just very accurate fleshtones, rich hues, and deep blacks. At times, the picture seems a bit softly focused. Pixelization causes the breakup of finer details on occasion, but edge enhancement is rarely a problem. No romantic comedy buffs will be complaining about this picture as it serves the genre quite well. (Suzanne Hodges)
