    Story Synopsis:
    Choreographer and Director Matthew Bourne features the music of Bizet

    DVD Picture:
    The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD exhibits stage performance-like settings for this musical, with images that appear unnatural and smeared. Colors can be rich and well balanced, though hues appear a bit muddy at times. The darker scenes with deep black backgrounds and colored spotlighting are nicely contrasted. Along with pixelization, there are also minor aliasing problems apparent. (Suzanne Hodges)
