DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD exhibits a picture that looks much older than 20 years. Shot with 3-D exhibition in mind (and released under the title Jaws 3D for those presentations), viewing this 2-D image is unimpressive, not to mention a lot less fun. At times, the picture can be painfully blurry, with smeared details. Colors are generally well balanced, with accurate fleshtones, and deep blacks. Viewing in a completely blackened room is highly recommended, if only for the dark underwater footage leading to the film
