The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD exhibits a generally pleasing picture with warm, nicely balanced color fidelity with lots of gold or brown overtones. Fleshtones appear quite natural and blacks are deep and solid. Images are generally sharp and detailed, though finer details and definition can be limited. A completely blackened room is recommended as the darker scenes offer limited visual information, and contrast seems a bit low at times.
