  WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
We made it through the "Night Of The Living Dead," we survived the "Dawn Of The Dead"; but how humanity will survive the "Day Of The Dead" is anybody

DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD exhibits dramatic improvements over the previously released, non-anamorphic DVD. Images are much smoother and more finely detailed, with improved contrast and shadow delineation. There are some scenes that appear slightly soft or hazy. Colors are nicely balanced, with fleshtones that appear quite natural, and sickly grayish green corpse-tones that appear quite dead. Blacks are generally deep and solid. The picture is smooth and clean with few scratches or flecks of dirt noticed in the source element. Edge enhancement is an occasional problem and smearing and pixelization are also rare. This is a horrifically nice new transfer. (Suzanne Hodges)
