Story Synopsis:
Joe Gavilan (Ford) and K.C. Calden (Hartnett) are two detectives in the Hollywood Homicide division of the LAPD, though Gavilan moonlights as a real estate agent and Calden dreams of happiness and enlightenment as a yoga instructor and actor. But before making any major career decisions, these buddy cops must crack the case of the murder of a hip-hop group. This predictable action comedy can be fun and amusing. (Suzanne Hodges)

The anamorphically enhanced 2.40:1 DVD exhibits a very good image, with colors that are incredibly well balanced. The picture is sharp and detailed, with nicely rendered textures and clarity. Contrast and shadow delineation are well-balanced, with a crisp clean look in the night scenes. Edge enhancement is generally minor, and thankfully the distraction is not always present.
