DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1-framed DVD picture looks dated, with colors that can sometimes appear naturally balanced, but with fleshtones that can seem a bit brownish. Blacks are deep, but often undefined. While sharpness can be satisfactory, there are frequent occasions in which the picture appears hazy or blurred. Viewing in a completely blackened room is recommended, as many scenes are right on the line of appearing too dark. There is some pixelization apparent, as well as some shimmering details, but edge enhancement is not a problem. (Suzanne Hodges)
