    Story Synopsis:
    "Splash" is a delightful comedy starring Tom Hanks as Allen Bauer, a workaholic New Yorker who never thought he

    DVD Picture:
    This new anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD offers a much better picture than the previously released non-anamorphic version (Issue 33). Images are sharp and detailed with good contrast and shadow delineation. Colors are nicely balanced, with rich hues, natural fleshtones, and deep blacks. While there is some edge enhancement present, it is not as bothersome as with the previous DVD. Pixelization is also limited, though sometimes the picture has a slightly smeared appearance.
