DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD picture exhibits nicely detailed images that are quite easy-on-the-eyes and complementary to the 1950s setting of the film. The color palette is naturally balanced, with accurate fleshtones and deep, but sometimes undefined blacks. Contrast and shadow delineation are well balanced. There is some edge enhancement noticed in some scenes, and pixelization is also quite minor. (Suzanne Hodges)
