Story Synopsis:
Essentially the same story as the 1987 Patrick Swayze/Jennifer Grey vehicle, Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights tells the story of (Garai), an American good girl living in Cuba with her parents in 1958. DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD picture has a sultry, softly focused picture that is visually complementary to both the 1950s period and the Cuban setting of the film. The color palette is awash with warm hues, and fleshtones can have a slightly orange appearance. Still, the color palette is easy-on-the-eyes with bold hues and deep blacks. Through the hazy appearance, sharpness is satisfactory. There is some pixelization and minor edge enhancement apparent. (Suzanne Hodges)
