DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD picture is perfectly satisfying for the lighthearted storytelling. Images are sharp and detailed, with pleasing contrast and shadow delineation. Sometimes finer details seem a bit lacking, and occasionally even have a smeared appearance. Colors are nicely saturated, with accurate fleshtones, rich hues, and deep blacks. There is some pixelization noticed at times, and minor edge enhancement as well. Still the picture is quite satisfying. (Suzanne Hodges)
