DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD picture has a dated, dingy appearance, with lots of neutral brown hues, brownish fleshtones, and weak brownish blacks. The picture exhibits adequate sharpness and satisfying detail, despite some scenes that have a softly focused appearance. Dirt and film grain are inherent in the source element. There is no bothersome edge enhancement and little pixelization. Much of what makes this picture look generally mediocre is related to the source material. (Suzanne Hodges)
