DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD picture exhibits images that are generally pleasing, with colors that are often nicely saturated and well-balanced, though sometimes appearing washed out. Images are sharp, with satisfying details and textures, though some minor smearing is occasionally noticed. Contrast and shadow delineation are also adequate. The source element is revealing of some minor film grain and occasional flecks of dirt, but nothing that should cause much distraction. Edge enhancement and pixelization are minor distractions.
