Story Synopsis:
Shaun Of The Dead is a gut-busting good time that knocks the blocks off of zombies while poking a little fun at Dawn Of The Dead. Shaun (Pegg) is a likeable loser who freqents his couch and the local pub. But when the dead rise to take over London, Shaun and his buddy (Frost) must rush to save Shaun's ex-girlfriend and his mother. With nowhere else to go but the pub, can Shaun and his friends fend off the zombies before they, too, are taken? DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD picture exhibits pleasing image quality throughout, with satisfying sharpness and detail. Colors are perfectly suitable for the storytelling, with accurate fleshtones and killer dead-tones. While blacks can appear a bit milky on an appropriately calibrated home theatre display, shadow delineation is adequate. Edge enhancement and minor pixelization are noticed. (Suzanne Hodges)
