Story Synopsis:
Celebrating his own retirement, Jay-Z threw a Fade To Black party at Madison Square Garden in November 2003. This is the night that the too-young-to-retire Jay-Z invited all his friends and fans to bring down the house and say good-bye, and he candidly takes a look back at the meteoric rise of his career. (Suzanne Hodges)
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD picture exhibits satisfying image quality, with an adequate, if slightly undersaturated, color scheme. Blacks tend to appear a bit milky, and hues can appear somewhat smeared. While images can appear soft and undefined, the picture can be nicely detailed at times. Contrast seems a bit low, contributing to detail limitations. Pixelization is rarely noticed, and there is no bothersome edge enhancement. (Suzanne Hodges)
