    Story Synopsis:
    Benjamin Franklin Gates (Cage) is a third generation treasure hunter who has spent a lifetime searching for a treasure no one believed existed. Hidden by the Founding Fathers of the United States, clues had been left leading to the location of the National Treasure. Gates

    DVD Picture:
    The anamorphically enhanced 2.40:1 DVD picture exhibits a pleasing, well-saturated color palette that offers rich and warm hues, accurate fleshtones, and deep blacks. The picture can be stylized with scenes awash in blue overtones or warm golds. Images are nicely detailed and generally sharp overall, though some smearing is evident at times. There is very slight edge enhancement detected, with a presence likely to only distract the pickiest of viewers. Still, minor pixelization is apparent, evidence of compression likely to make space for all those complicated, but fun, extras! Overall, the picture is really quite clean and smooth, and should not disappoint. (Suzanne Hodges)
