Story Synopsis:
"Christmas With The Kranks" just won't be the same this year. Their only child Blair (Gonzalo) won't be home for the holidays, and the whole idea of celebrating has got Luther (Allen) and Nora (Curtis) feeling blue. So, the Kranks decide to skip Christmas and head to the Caribbean instead. Friends and neighbors try to convince Luther and Nora to stick with tradition, but they won't be swayed. However, when Blair calls with a sudden change of plans, Christmas becomes full of surprises all the way around. Based on the novel "Skipping Christmas" by John Grisham. (Tricia Littrell)
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.38:1 DVD picture exhibits generally pleasing quality, with a satisfying color palette. While details can be adequate, there seems to be a soft veil that compromises sharpness. Still, the picture is satisfying for the storytelling. Pixelization can be a problem at times, but edge enhancement is limited. (Suzanne Hodges)
