    Story Synopsis:
    Encouraged to escape from the Belene Prison Camp in Bulgaria, young David (Tibber) slips out one night and begins his journey through Europe. Entrusted with an envelope with insutructions not to open it, David is told deliver the letter to Denmark. Alone and afraid, the young boy is wary of everyone he comes in contact with, but eventually along the way he learns the meaning of trust. "I Am David" is based on the novel by Anne Holm.     DVD Picture:
    The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD picture exhibits a nicely saturated color scheme, with accurate fleshtones, rich hues, and deep blacks. Images are sharp and detailed, with nicely rendered textures. The picture can be stylized with cool blues, and in the darker scenes, shadow delineation is well balanced. There is rarely any distracting pixelization and only occasional edge enhancement. (Suzanne Hodges)
