Story Synopsis:
Katsuhiro Otomo (director of the futuristic animated movie Akira) worked on Steamboy, a film set in the 19th century, for about ten years before its release. The science-fiction tale is set in Victorian England and features a boy called Ray Steam, who is given a mysterious metal steam ball by his grandfather. Said to contain a form of energy capable of powering an entire nation, Ray uses the ball to fight evil and save London from destruction. (Tricia Spears)
