Special features include seven deleted scenes with optional commentary, an alternate title opening, feature audio commentary by director Angela Robinson, a five-minute blooper reel, Lindsay Lohan's music video for "First," a 14-minute featurette on "A Day At The Races," a nine-minute highlight on the stunts, and a 12-minute featurette on "Bringing Herbie To Life." There are also up-front ads that can be passed by your remote's menu button and viewed as Sneak Peaks.
DVD Picture:
As would be expected, the color scheme on this anamorphically enhanced DVD is bright and fun, perfectly complementing the lighthearted story. Images exhibit pleasing sharpness and details, with nicely balanced contrast and shadow delineation. There are few distractions in the way of pixelization, smearing, or edge enhancement; as the picture is quite solid overall. Good fun for the whole family. (Suzanne Hodges)
