Story Synopsis:
Based on the hugely popular British television BBC series created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, America's version of "The Office: Season One" is now available on DVD. Michael Scott (Carrell) is the Regional Manager of Dunder Mifflin Paper Products and though he considers himself the "World's Best Boss," it's obvious that he's the only one around there who believes so. Developed for American television by Greg Daniels. (Tricia Spears)
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD picture offers a pleasing color palette that is perfectly suitable for the genre and office setting. Sharpness is adequate, but finer details are limited. Some blurring or smearing can be detected. Some aliasing and stairstepping artifacts can be noticed in details like blinds and stacks of paper. While there is no obtrusive edge enhancement, some pixelization is detected at times. (Suzanne Hodges)
