The anamorphically enhanced 2.40:1 DVD picture exhibits a richly saturated color palette that is enhanced by gradient filters that make beautiful sunsets even more colorful. The rolling hills and pastures are vibrant, and fleshtones appear natural throughout. Images are sharp and nicely detailed, although some scenes appear a bit smeared on occasion. Contrast and shadow delineation are nicely balanced. There is some pixel breakup noticed at times, and the occasional edge halo might distract finicky viewers.
