Story Synopsis:
It's easy for independently wealthy, middle-aged men like Ray Porter (Martin) to keep young women around for romance. Mirabelle Buttersfield (Danes) is a lonley Shopgirl who makes his acquaintence when he comes to Saks Fifth Avenue to buy a pair of black gloves for one lucky young woman. Since Mirabelle moved to Los Angeles from Vermont with a mountain of debt, her love life has been limited to one disastrous date with Jeremy (Schwartzman)
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.32:1 DVD picture exhibits a richly saturated color palette that at times appears a bit oversaturated. Images are generally sharp, though some minor smearing is evident. There is minor pixelization and edge enhancement noticed at times, but overall the picture is generally pleasing. (Suzanne Hodges)
