DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.38:1 DVD exhibits deep blacks with good shadow delineation, which helps create a very dimensional-looking image. Colors are bold and vibrant, and while details are generally captured well, the picture can look slightly soft at times. Dark scenes look great, but daytime scenes can often look somewhat washed out. Pixel breakup can be noticed in bright scenes, and shimmering and edge enhancement can be somewhat distracting at times. (Danny Richelieu)
