Story Synopsis:
The athleticism and camaraderie of 1972 Olympics in Munich erupted in terror when Palestinian terrorists kill two and abduct nine Israeli athletes. When their demands are not met and their plan is thwarted, the rest of the hostages are murdered. The Israeli government feels no other recourse than to hire Avner (Bana) to lead a secret Israeli squad to exact vengeance on the terrorists. Based on George Jonas' book "Vengeance." (Suzanne Hodges)
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD picture exhibits a nicely rendered picture that is generally sharp and detailed. The picture can have a dim appearance that seems to be complementary to the edgy storytelling, but colors are often rich and well balanced. Some smearing (even in the subtitles) and pixelization can be noticed at times, but there is no obtrusive edge enhancement. (Suzanne Hodges)
