DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced DVD picture exhibits generally sharp and detailed imagery, with some smearing evident. Colors are rich and nicely saturated, with accurate fleshtones and deep blacks. Finer details shimmer and break up at times, and pixelization is noticed. (Suzanne Hodges)
Soundtrack:
With as many quiescent scenes as this title contains, the Dolby Digital 5.1-channel soundtrack would have really benefitted from a very low noise floor. Unfortunately, however, there is audible background hiss, which takes away from the believability of the soundtrack. Voices often sound out of place with the environments, which usually is due to the ADR process. Dialogue does have a natural tonality and articulation, which is a benefit, but it still sounds forward and as if everyone is talking inside a small room, even when the subjects are outdoors. The soundtrack is generally dominated by the center channel, with the corner channels all but ignored during indoor scenes. This soundtrack is not very exciting or enticing. (Danny Richelieu)
