Story Synopsis:
Travel agent Paul Barnell (Williams) and his deranged wife Margaret (Hunter) live in "The Big White" state of Alaska. Heavily in debt, Paul tries unsuccessfully to collect on his long-lost brother Raymond's (Harrelson) life insurance policy. Luck comes knocking on Paul's door when he finds a dead body in a dumpster and decides to pass it off as Raymond. But insurance investigator Ted Watters (Ribisi) is suspicious and the guys who did the killing are curious
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD picture has a slightly harsh, gritty appearance that lacks a smooth quality. Colors tend to appear a bit washed out at times, but with so much white, it is believable that this was a thematic choice (considering the title). Images are generally sharp, though finer details are limited. (Suzanne Hodges)
