    Story Synopsis:
    Jerry Shepard (Walker), a guide at the National Science Foundation Research Base, has a pretty good life, spending his days with his best friend, cartographer Charlie Cooper (Jason Biggs), playing poker, and exploring the Antarctic wilderness with his sled dogs

    DVD Picture:
    The anamorphically enhanced 2.40:1 DVD picture exhibits an expectedly cold color scheme for the storytelling. The icy blue-gray locations are nicely captured, and hues are well balanced accordingly. As the movie progresses to temperatures much warmer than eight below, the color scheme warms up as well and is nicely saturated. Images are generally sharp and detailed, with some minor smearing and occasional pixel breakup. (Suzanne Hodges)
