Special features include eight deleted scenes, a four-minute music video of the Face soundtrack, an extremely annoying three-minute scoring outtake reel, a photo gallery, a storyboard slideshow, the theatrical trailer, sneak previews, and one up-front preview.
Story Synopsis:
"Face" is the story of Kim (Ling), a woman who gives up her baby Genie (Wu) to be raised by her own mother (Chinh), the child's traditionally Chinese grandmother. With flashbacks from the past but mainly focusing on her present day teenage life, Genie's emotions are put to the test when Kim shows up for her graduation, and her grandmother discovers that she is involved with Michael (Treach), a young black man. (Tricia Spears)
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.32:1 DVD picture exhibits mediocre picture quality, with colors that appear to be nicely saturated, although fleshtones tend to look a bit brownish. Sharpness is adequate, but finer details are lacking. Some scenes are extremely soft or hazy. Distractions are noticed in the way of pixelization and occasional shimmering details, although edge enhancement is not a problem.(Suzanne Hodges)
