    Story Synopsis:
    Based on the fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen, Disney

    DVD Picture:
    With what appears to be a higher average bit rate over the original DVD release, the 1.78:1 DVD picture looks noticeably more refined, with better detail and less pixilation. Edge enhancement, which was bothersome in the original DVD release, has been cleaned up. Colors are not as vibrant as more current animated titles can be, but they still look better than the original release. While not perfect, the picture is better than the previous release.     I primarily read WSR for unbiased information concerning the future of HD DVD. Articles are written in such a way that the average consumer can understand the technology and benefits of HD DVD. It's nice to be able to read articles from purist videophiles/audiophiles who clearly state their opinion on technologies/products with clear, understandable supporting information. When I read WSR, I have no doubt that the information within is complete and accurate. It's a publication I can TRUST!
