DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD features bold, vibrant colors, but fleshtones are too red, giving everyone a burnt look. Black levels are deep and shadow delineation is good, although the darkest portions of the screen are crushed into black. Edge enhancement is minor but noticeable and pixilation and compression artifacts can be seen at times. Source element artifacts and heavy grain and noise are also distracting. (Danny Richelieu)
