Story Synopsis:
Everyone knows the story of The Tale Of Peter Rabbit, but what does anyone know about its creator, Beatrix Potter (Zellweger)? The author of the best-selling children's books of all time, Miss Potter grew up in a privileged household in London, England. While her mother wanted nothing more for Beatrix than for her to settle down and marry a respectable man, Beatrix was only interested in her illustrated friends...until, of course, she met Norman Warne (McGregor), the publisher who introduced her stories to the world. (Tricia Spears)
DVD Picture:
The soft, anamorphically enhanced 2.38:1 DVD has a dull color scheme that, combined with the smeared appearance, helps set the timeframe well. This does limit the color fidelity, however, and the imagery generally has a washed-out appearance. Edge enhancement is noticeable throughout, although it is not overly distracting. (Danny Richelieu)
