DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.30:1 DVD has a harsh appearance, although details are delivered nicely in general. Contrast is balanced fairly well, but images can be overly bright. Whites do not show much blooming, but details in the whites can be crushed. Black levels are somewhat milky, but shadow delineation is generally good. Colors are somewhat undersaturated, but hues are generally limited to warm browns and reds. Compression artifacts can be noticed at times throughout, and edge enhancement, while minor, can be a slight distraction at times. (Danny Richelieu)
