Now anamorphically enhanced, the new DVD (reframed at 1.78:1) shows slightly better resolution over the previous release. Colors are still vibrant and fully saturated, and blacks are solid and deep. Contrast and shadow delineation are well rendered, and the image can show good dimensionality. Compression artifacts are rarely discernable, but minor edge enhancement can be noticed at times.
