Story Synopsis:
After a breakup with his girlfriend, Ben (Biggerstaff) becomes a hopeless insomniac. Since he can no longer sleep at night Ben decides to trade these eight sleepless hours for a little Cash Back by working the night shift in his local supermarket. During the quiet late hours, Ben discovers he can stop time, allowing him to walk through a world frozen in its tracks. This frozen world is where he practices his passion, sketching nude women. Will Ben be lost forever in a world he can manipulate at will or find love among the frozen inhabitants he studies? (Stacey Pendry)
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.34:1 DVD exhibits bold colors, but they are often too saturated. Details are not captured as well as they can be, with the picture oftentimes looking plugged up and underdefined. Black levels are fairly good and shadow delineation is good, but the picture can be inconsistent in this regard, with black levels occasionally looking milky. Pixilation is not much of a problem, although occasionally breakup can be noticed, and edge enhancement, while minor, is noticeable on high-contrast transitions. (Danny Richelieu)
