Story Synopsis:
Poor Nora Wilder (Posey) is thirty-something, single, and living in Manhattan. With all of her friends in happy relationships Nora sets out to dip her toes back in the dating pool, but with disappointing results. Just when she thinks her luck has all but dried up, Nora meets an eccentric, Broken English-speaking Frenchman, Julian (Poupaud), and the two share instant chemistry. DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD has a fairly limited color set, dominated by hues of brown. Details are not delivered well, and pixilation can make a mess of many scenes. Black levels are fairly deep and shadow delineation is rendered nicely. Colors can be nicely saturated, but there are times when the images can look faded. Edge enhancement is rarely a problem.
