Story Synopsis:
La Vie En Rose depicts the tragic life of France
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.33:1 DVD exhibits a smeared image that looks noticeably soft. Black levels are somewhat milky, but details in the shadows are delivered nicely, which can give the picture a dimensional appearance. Colors are somewhat subdued and undersaturated and the palette is dominated by hues of green and brown, giving the picture a downtrodden look. Pixel breakup and compression artifacts are noticeable at times throughout the presentation and, edge enhancement is also noticeable on the highest contrast transitions. (Danny Richelieu)
