DVD Picture:
When compared to the previously released LaserDisc (not reviewed), the anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD exhibits a picture that is quite solid. Though dated, the picture is generally sharp. Colors are rich and nicely balanced, with deep, solid blacks. Clarity is improved over the LaserDisc, as colors are more well-defined. Minor film grain is noticed. Occasionally edges appear enhanced, but the DVD will surely please those who have seen the LaserDisc.
