    DVD Picture:
    Compared to the LaserDisc reviewed in Issue 26, the THX digitally mastered 2.55:1 DVD exhibits improved clarity and sharpness, though not anamorphically enhanced. Colors are fully saturated with balanced fleshtones and deep blacks, appearing more refined when compared to the LaserDisc. While a nice improvement over the LaserDisc, aliasing problems can be distracting. Viewed along, the picture is wanting in sharpness and detail for generally mediocre visual quality.
