Story Synopsis:
Season Three picks up the plot four months after the end of Season Two. Cylons have taken control of the humans on New Caprica with the Battlestar Galactica, Pegasus, and a handful of civilian ships narrowly escaping the Colony's occupation. The colonists' hope of eluding their Cylon pursuers is dashed with the invasion and occupation of their new home. Friends turn against one another and avowed enemies become unlikely allies as the fate of the human race hangs in the balance. (Stacey Pendry)
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD exhibits a harsh image, with heavy grain and noise and relatively poor resolution. Black levels are somewhat elevated, and the entire image seems to have a pall of haze covering it. Shadow delineation is fairly well preserved, though. Colors are somewhat muted, and while edge enhancement is not overly distracting, it can be noticed at times. Compression artifacts can also be noticed from time to time. (Danny Richelieu)
