Special Notes:
When "Clue" was released theatrically in 1985, there was a triple inventory of 35mm prints, each with a different conclusion to the movie. Three separate endings were filmed, and what version you saw depended on which print your theatre received. Upon its 1986 video release, all three endings were incorporated into the movie.

DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD looks quite good, with a solid appearance throughout. Images are generally sharp, though sometimes slightly soft and undefined. The interiors of the house are a tad on the dark side, but add to the humorous mystery with generally good shadow delineation. Colors are balanced throughout, with accurate fleshtones, rich hues and deep blacks, though the picture can appear slightly "pasty." Minor pixelization and artifacts are noticed. Overall, the picture looks great for its age.
