The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD exhibits a great transfer of this engulfing movie. Compared to LaserDisc reviewed in Issue 14, the DVD exhibits greater depth and definition. The stylized color scheme varies but often exhibits golden hues that are nicely balanced with deep blacks. Though the picture is not free from minor edge enhancement or occasional aliasing, the DVD will surely please with its solid character.
