    Story Synopsis:
    Capturing Oscars

    DVD Picture:
    The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD has a dated quality, with images that are a bit soft, though detail can be nicely rendered at times. Colors are well balanced, though slightly dull. Fleshtones are generally accurate and blacks are quite deep. Still, with less-than-vibrant hues, the color scheme seems appropriate for the subject matter. Contrast seems a bit low at times, but shadow delineation is satisfactory. There is no distracting edge enhancement or pixelization to speak of, though minor shimmering is noticed. Minor source element artifacts are scattered throughout. (Suzanne Hodges)
