    Story Synopsis:
    Phantasm IV: Oblivion is the fourth entry in the series about the Tall Man (Scrimm) and his quest to rule the world with his army of undead. Michael Baldwin and Reggie Bannister fight to save mankind by traveling to the Tall Man

    DVD Picture:
    The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD exhibits slight improvements over the LaserDisc reviewed in Issue 32. Images are sharp and detailed with nicely rendered fine detail and texture. Like the LaserDisc, colors are sometimes over saturated, but the picture is generally balanced with accurate fleshtones. Blacks fall just short of true depth. The black and white sequences exhibit a good gray scale. Contrast and shadow delineation are nicely rendered, but definition is wanting in the darker scenes. Minor pixelization is apparent, and fine details occasionally shimmer. (Suzanne Hodges)
